M3 Mirror Install

Hey. So I bought some new M3 Power mirrors because my old passenger side mirror was cracked. So my question is, how can I go from my stock mirrors with no LED, to these new M3 mirrors with the LED on the side? Will I have to splice into the directional wire or what? The kit came with left and right housing with mirrors, left and right mounting brackets and screws, and some male and female connector wires.

Anyone have any advice for me? I want these new mirrors, but I don't want to screw anything up.

Thanks guys.

Thanks for the quick reply, but why not? Should I just return these mirrors and buy an stock replacement mirror?

No it didn't come with instructions.

Yes I like the mirrors, and I'd like to keep them and install them myself.

Connecting the new mirror shouldn't be too bad. I'm just wondering about how to connect the new LED.

just take a little thing you use to see if electric is going through the wires( you know the little thing that has a ground connection and a pointer that you stick in wires.) take that and turn the car on and then test the wires to see which ones are hot when the signals on and not hot when the signal is off then splice into that wire. there will be a dif wire for each side

he's looking to do the turn signal like a truck. ( i think its illegal to have them on at all times.) anyways do you have a haynes manual or anything? cause that would be your best bet for finding a wire to splice into.. if not go to the ford dealer ship and ask them for a print up of a wiring diagram. they should have a photocopy machine and could do it. I personally haven't done M3 mirrors but i've done sequential tail lights and my HIDS. your best bet is go around with a test light and check for that blinking wire

o and its not overly hard; its just time consuming cause you don't want to screw stuff up.

I'll post them if I get it done. I first have to get new brackets because they sent me two right, instead of a right and a left bracket.

How do you guys search for the manuals at the Bedford Public Library? I've been rummaging through it for awhile, and can't seem to find where to log in for the free manuals.

They have the option of blue or white LED's. I'll probably make the white my turn signal, and hook the blue up to my parking lights or something for no reason
