over drive.
ight yesterday i was bored and looked at some auto shift knobs. as i was looking at them i got to wondering how the knob actually works. so i went out and took mine off. as i was taking mine off i accidentally ripped the wires on the o/d button off. so today i took it all apart again to fix it. i spliced the wires and put them back into the o/d button and now when i hit the button it won't go out of overdrive. im very frustrated and really want to know why. im hoping u guys can help.

nope i've switched the wires thinking i had them wrong and i still have a prob.
![]() and i also tried just taking the wires and touching them and that should make it disengage and engage o/d and even touching the wires together won't work.

something in the handle isn't disengaging? like i'm thinking when you press the button its not breaking the circuit. anyways maybe go through a manual it might give you a better idea. my idea is just a guess.

possibly a fuse blow when you broke the switch and most likely crossed the wires? just a guess
