Trac Off

i got an 03 v6 automatic mustang and i got this button that says trac off but im not sure when its on or off... and also wanted to kno if its better to race with it on or off n does it make a difference ? thanx

That should be for your Traction Control. In a mustang, what happens is that when the computer controls detect abnormal amounts of tire spinning, it cuts down the motor power output, thereby stopping the spinning of the wheels.....

If your going to race, make sure the light is ON... which means the traction control is OFF.....

Although, I am not sure if it makes a huge difference on a stock motor. Stock V6's probably won't cause enough wheel spin on asphalt to really worry about it.

race with it off but be careful the first couple of times you do itif you are used to driving with it on. The mustangs have no weight in the rear so they will spin like crazy if you rev it to high on your launch
