thats not true. i know a few guys with 4.6's that get much better MPG then me.

TheUNZippee! on here gets just under 30 MPG on the highway.

i get just a little under 24.

That has a lot to do with the way you drive too. If you lead foot it, you're always going to get poor MPG. I got 36 MPG consistently from California to Ohio, and that was with approx 600 lbs of stuff in the car! It all depends on driving style, rotational mass, and tune and less to do with exhaust. The UDP's would be an okay choice, however they can be an unnecessary cost if you plan on doing any mods later. If you go with lightweight pulleys and A/C delete, you will see some more gains, and you can go performance mods later. The Aluminum driveshaft will be an okay choice as well b/c again you are reducing the rotational mass of the drivetrain. Cams may be a good choice to add into the mix as well, just have some cams custom ground for a shorter durration and don't mash the gas. I personally vote for the AL DS.

that is true but could also depend on the way you drive.
i was just tellin him that because gas is starteing to go down in some places so just on to worry about it to much thats all

I'd go with the UDP strictly based on cost. You have to realize that none of these listed will change your mpg drastically, so it's going to take a shit ton of miles for it to actually pay for itself.

Considering you have a tuner I think out of the three, the exhaust.

Clearly the people saying don't worry about saving gas must be millionaires, but in that case why do you drive non-specialty stangs? He wouldn't have started this thread if he didn't care...Anyone and everyone who drives a car should try to get the best MPG out of their gas tanks, while for us stangers not losing in the power department. Gas is expensive, and if you're a tree hugger it's bad for the bunnies and douglas firs as well.

im sayin dont worry about it to much because gas is going down out of nowhere he can try to get whatever he wants for the best mpg but gas went down from 4.05 to 3.76 and its continuing to go down. So he can by all means do what he wants i said udp..

jts how do you know gas is going to go down more? i wake up and it's like a guessing game to go down to the gas station and see if it went down or up. it has been going down then up in my area for a while now. whose to say that it is going to go down more. i must say that i am very concerned with mpg's and that i feel like from experience that the udp will help the best. when i got them i could tell about 2-3 mpgs dif. but like it's already been stated. the way you drive tells alot.

im turbo'd pushing nearly twice the power a bolt on GT same year is pushing and my buddy with the GT gets 5-6mpg LESS then me

so i strongly disagree with anyone who considers that even half true.
