v6 to Mach 1

I'm a proud owner of a Laser Red, 2002, Mustang v6. I want to change it to look Mach 1ish. My thoughts, for mods in order are as follows.

1-Mach 1 Chin Spoiler
2-GT Front Bumper + Fog Lights
3-Whatever Hood belongs on a 2002 Mach 1
4-Black inserts for MUSTANG across the rear bumper
5-Black paint in the rear "notch" below the MUSTANG in the rear bumper
6-Black Mach 1 Hood Decal.

Any ideas for where to find what/ prices/ suggestions? Thanks!

hate to threadjack, but would this interfere with a turbo kit?

I would like to get one eventually, and I love the Mach 1, but I think that it would interfere.

Thanks!!!

IF you want a turbo don't waste the 800$ on the mach 1 shaker system. Save it for the turbo.

You also need the mach 1 c pillars.

Thanks.

Thanks guys! I know they didn't make the Mach 1 in 2002, but they did in 2003 I believe? Which is the same generation so I figured it'd be about the same. I don't know if I want the whole Shaker System, depends on price and installation. Honestly I'm a 17 year old kid working roughly 30-35 hours a week, about 25-30 once school starts at $7.15/hr, so money is a huge issue. Is almost all this stuff possible to install yourself? I know very little about cars but want to learn soo bad, I've been told the best way to learn is to do this kind of stuff, so I'm doing. Keep suggestions coming.

you could tackle everything but the shaker install on your own with ease.

I'd love to keep this car forever, well virtually forever. Part of me says make it look kick ass now, then do performance shit out of college with a real, good job. Is it possible to get the same style hood scoop without the whole system? Ultimately I'd love to drop a v8 into it, but thats not even a slight possibility with the cash I have.. ermm dont have, now.

what i would do is keep it stock, then buy a gt or mach later down the road, depending on how long u plan on being in college

That's what my sister just suggested, but this would be so much more fun. And I'd get hands on experience with stuff.

true, but i still wouldnt change body parts. exterior mods are hella easy, its performance mods that are harder. plus if it looks like a "slow v6" but its got some good mods, u can catch some ppl off guard (sleeper). unless ur car needs new parts, like a bumber or what not, i wouldnt change them

Well, the front/ rear bumpers have some minor scratches, dings, and spots, but I wouldn't say they need replacement. What performance mods would you suggest? How are they for price?

Don't buy a GT bumper, it's the same thing as the v6 with exception of the 3 slits that run horizontally where fog lights are on the GT. These are easily removed with a box cutter and if you add fog lights you would never tell the difference. I removed them from my car and don't even have fog lights and it's unnoticable.

Make your car look the way you want it to, it's your car, the parts you listed are neither expensive or hard to install, other than the shaker system, as was already noted.

well id go full till (headers, exhaust, split port top end if it isnt already, maybe FI) if u plan on keeping this car indefinately. if u really do think u will buy a v8 stang in the future, then id still do exhaust, but not do any head work or FI, keep it n/a
