I have, but it entials quite a bit of work.

If you want my $.02 here is what I would do in your case.

The 2001+ mustangs had a double din head unit that fits in the same area as the 1994 - 2000 mustangs. This is what housed the 6 disk in dash cd-player. If you haven't purchased or gone past the return policy, you should do as follows (IMO).

1: Find Double din head unit that you want
2: Go to Ford dealer and order 1 ea Instrument Panel, Center panel (they only come in black, but you can paint to match, or leave black)
3: Remove Center Instrument Panel and vents.
4: Install vents in new center instrument panel
5: Install double din head unit of choice from step 1
6: Install center instrument panel
7: BE HAPPY!!!

If you want to move the A/C / Climate controls, there are cables, vacuum lines, and the heater core that attempt to twart you at ever turn. It is more hassle than it is worth IMO. I cannot find a P/N for the center instrument panel, but that's what Ford calls it. Bob Utter Ford parts online has it for $48.15 (MSRP is $65.52). I will call my local dealership when they open and get a P/N to post on here.

Hope I helped a little bit!!!

It's been done, I've seen it a few times, it looks good, but most people just have it flip up over the ac knobs, not too much of a pain if you set your ac before you open the screen...

So you don't want the Double din? Well, if you do here's the info:

I am told the P/N is 3R3Z6304338BAD

The local dealership up here wants $113.48, but I'm sure if you look around online, you can find it much cheaper.
