thanks for spendin ur time

"obviously the v8 is sooo much more powerful and faster"

obviously... but v8 weighs like 18273912873719827398971737812371 lbz more ... if your having this much trouble with your ford i suggest a chevy for you =]
GT Coupe = 3,483 lbs.
V6 Coupe = 3,351 lbs.

Difference of 132 lbs...Thats not that much when you consider the hp difference...

GT Coupe = 300hp/320tq (Puts around 270/300 to the wheels...stock)
V6 Coupe = 210hp/240tq (I have never seen one dynoed so I dont know)

Difference of 90hp/80tq...

With that said the weight does not even play a role...

From readin this I figure your dad is buying the car for you...If I was you I would push ofr the V8...With the V6 you are going to mod it and then prolly in the future sell it and buy a V8 car...Just tell him about all the safety feature on the V8...

if i were getting both free i'd take niether n ask for a 99-04 car. i dont like the 05+ nor the 98s and lower, i like SOME fox's and it has to be black

then from 1964 1/2-1969 i believe..i like em and the first model mach 1s and boss

but as far as convincing your dad...the only thing you can say about the GT over the v6 is the engine. the inside, EVERYTHING except the badges and the rear bumper having an extra hole is the same. you can say "no dad the 2 wholes look better?.." interior has same options, and the difference between a v6 and v8 will be about $4-5k if you find cheapest v6 vs cheapest v8

the odds are not on your side.
there really isnt to big a of a difference between the 2 aside from engine

exactly, if money is no issue, go for the 8. i actually wish i had an 8 sometimes, but i would be in a different financial situation with no personalization to show for it. for the new models, the 8 is much nicer than the 6, hands down!

rear end, potential, i would choose the 8 over the 6 if he doesnt have to pay. if money is not the issue, get the 8 imo.

ok true an 8.8 instead of a 7.5
and of course any mod you get on a v8 will have a bigger gain then the v6..

none of this will help convince his dad

well, if the dad enjoys cars, they could enjoy working on the 8 together!

OK I found stock 5-speed 2005+ V6 Dyno Specs...

GT Coupe = 270rwhp/300rwtq stock
V6 Coupe = 186rwhp/225rwtq stock

Difference of 84rwhp/75rwtq...

If money is not an option I would go for the V8...If you try hard I am sure you can get your dad to go for it...But also what you need to remember is that this will be your first car...And jumping in a car with that much power and it being your first car could be asking for trouble...

thats wat imsayin
shit i drove the piss outta my v6
these v8s have more power, i know i wouldnt be able to resist and ive had A LOT of close calls and to be honest,...if i woulda been going faster witha a faster car...i would ate it
you might think you'll drive nice and slow lik a grandma...but you'll being dying to punch it once, and after that its like crack, (never tried crack but just sayin) then you wana go faster becuz your losing or getting bored and it gets outta hand and your like most of us. the mustang has become a money pit

point blank you can get hurt and in trouble if you drive like an immature kid

You can learn from reading what people say on this forum...

If you are thinking about a mod then you should post up here and the people here on the forum can tell you the pros and cons of each...

You can also leanr by reading "Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords"...Its a good magazine to read...

But mostly bro if you stick around the site and read what people write then you will learn pretty quickly...

There is tons of info on this site and it pretty much covers any mod you could think of doing...If you are wondering about some mod then use the search button at the top of the forums and search for that mod...I can bet you will see at least 2 threads about that mod with the info in them...

i have driven stupid before and too fast for conditions, but now that i have run many times at the track, i no longer have the urge on the street. in fact, i havent taken my car over 3k rpms in over 3 weeks. you just need to be careful when you are young because no matter what you think, you dont know shit!
