yea but to rev in auto you gotta put in neutral while driving..kinda ricer lol plus the sound of when you floor it in an auto sounds shitty to a manual! when you shift in a 5 speed it hits hard..IMO

my vote-stick all the way

sticks are fun, i have driven a few, but i also live in a suburban area and deal with school traffic every day. i love sticks and they will be faster with a better driver, just not as consistent. sticks make more rear wheel horsepower due to less parasitic loss of power... but autos are easy and consistent...

A stick car is tougher to do things in your car while driving...But I dont worry about it becuase no one eats or smokes or anything like that in my car...Also I dont talk on the phone while driving so that is not an issue for me...

if you want auto go auto lol. its just what you prefer. it makes for holding hands a bitch while driving but thats about it. i like the feel of a standard. it feels like i have more control of the car. and if i beat someone in a race i feel like its more of my skill than the car. because i dont just go WOT. maybe its an ego thing lol i dont know but i prefer manual over auto any day of the week

also, if you put it from D to N at cruise speeds, you will greatly increase the temps of the tranny and burn it up. bad move. you cannot truely rev an auto at cruise, only at idle.

i dont dislike the stick, but what's the point of power if you cannot consistently apply it. yes, a stick takes skill to drive well, but an auto is very easy to drive just as fast more consistently.

Its really up to preference...With the right stall and a shift kit the auto can wax a 5-speed at the track...

For everday driving in a big city an auto is king...

Its all about what you want...

Autos are consistant...And alot of High HP Cobra and GT guys are switching to autos if their car sees alot of track time...

sticks are fun to drive, but autos are easier. burn outs in autos are easier, cruising is easier, mulitasking is easier... but sticks are fun.

Its all about preference...

If you drive in traffic alot your left leg will thank you for choosing an auto...Take it from someone who has drove an atuo and a stick in DC traffic many times...Auto is the way to go for traffic...

yes you can, even faster if you are good with the same application but with an auto. just know what rpm you would be at at a set speed and gear...
