i belive the cougar is a single port so i dont belive it will match up correctly with a dual port for a 99. that was the first year for the dual port right?

yep the 99 was a split port engine...first one for the ford 3.8L block. I also believe the cougar was a single port. Don't believe it will match up without converting to a single port.

he could swap on single port heads, and not sure what all else it would entail, but it is possible...

It would be far better to skip this and simply go with either a Vortech or Procharger. Why take a better flowing intake/head setup and revert to older technology? If you go BACK to singleport, your going to loose horsepower... then toss on the Tbird SC to gain back horsepower.... Your net result will be far less than if you had done this to a 98 or earlier 3.8, and FAR less than a Vortech or Procharger install.

It is. Your engine, and my engine are the same. Just yours is a split port while mine is a single port.

Regardless of free or not, it is still not a wise thing to do... why take technology of the motor backwards just go gain a minimal amount of horsepower? Toss it on ebay, make $300 and use it to get other bolt-ons, or save up for a bolt-on blower....

there are a bajillion links on the web about the m90 swap, but unless you feel confident takeing your heads off or making a custom upper intake manifold, fuel rail work, then i would also recommend an off the shelf forced induction or n2o kit. wouldn't be suprised to find a low mile used procharger kit quite cheap either
