turning front rotors
I was quoted about $100 from a ford dealer to turn the front rotors only. Does that sound right? A mechanic at a auto repair shop told me I should just purchase new front rotors instead of turning the old ones. The reasons for this is my braking is horrible, feels like Im bouncing when braking, and very obnoxious loud screetching from the front brakes only.

did you check your front pads? screeching can sometimes be the pad wear indicator scraping....but around here you can go to a midas or something and get new pads on all four wheels and all the rotors resurfaced for like 98 bucks..

Almost no one turns their routers anymore its an old thing to do when routers where way over priced. Just go to Advanced auto and buy two new routers and be done with it. They will run you 40 a peice AT THE VERY MOST

If you can turn them for free then do it. But if you gotta pay a dealership 100 bucks to just make your routers thinner wich will make them heat up faster wich in the end they will warp faster. Just buy new ones cause in the end it will be worth it plus you will get them cheaper than 100 bucks for two of em. I have never turned a set of routers I always just buy new ones and I have yet to buy a router that cost more than 30 bucks a piece for my car

psh you can get new rotors for cheaper then that. is that you hand them the rotors and they turn it?
