if u want ur speedo to work you do. it wont be calibrated correctly and your car will rack up more miles than ur actually going.

yea, ive gone down there a couple times and helped out on the race car. so they had no problem with us using the shop. hopefully everything will go smooth, now i just need to buy a tuner. so without the tuner the speed is gonna be wrong and its gonna add more miles than it should?

Yep, it should be off by around 25% on both.

A speedcal is another cheaper option vs a tuner.

Nope.......
DMP's SpeedCal Corrects Speedometer readings on 1996 and up Mustangs when the rear end gear or tire size has been changed. A great fix with quick, simple installation on all 1994 and up 5 speed equipped Mustangs and 1994-98 automatic equipped Mustangs. You will need to use our 'SpeedCal Calculator' for your own calculations.

those speedcals wont work on 03 or 04 mustangs i think. and yea, your odometer goes off your mph, and if your speedometer says ur going 60, when your really going 45, your going to rack up alot more miles.
