codes

hey guys after i tuned my car with the xcal3 i noticed my check engine light was on. i ran the obd2 tester and it gave these codes. p0122 and p0340. these are tps and cps. these codes where not thrown until after the tune. could these be caused by the tune or did they go bad at the same time? also when i was porting the tb. i pulled the little shaft that holds the butterfly out. did this effect the tps? please help.

Yes if the MAF is seeing more air enter the system then the TPS is allowing it will pop a code. Swap the throttle body for another one and see what happens.

so is the tps bad or what ? and what about the cps. i heard after market wires can cause it to throw a code on the cps?

No telling without looking at it. When you ported the tb you didn't take any meat from around the butterfly did you?

nope i smoothed it out just ever so slightly but the butterfly still fits very nicely and there are no gaps in it

Just swap it out from a friends car and see what happens.

i heard that after tuning the car some codes will pop up but if you clear them out, they dont come back on, said that in my manual for the sport tuner.

well i check it with my xcal and it is now only throwing the tps code and then i clear it and then run the dtc's again and it shows back up.

well i fixed it. when i put the tb back together i didn't put the tps back on right. that was what was causing the code. so i took it off and fixed it and it runs awesome now.
