.... automatics don't have shifters ... well not in the sense your thinking of... that would be a manual that you get a short throw for... just lettin ya know
auto would be a shift kit.... and if you look down a few posts you will see 11.... 10 or 11 pages on this exact same discussion

t-lok an gears best place but if your looking for serious hp in the future getting t-lok is pointless cuz your 7.5 rear axle wont go to much past 300hp so you'll need an 8.8 rear which has t-lok already as for the 1/4 i'd say if your doing high 11's or 11's and up that manual is better. t-lok is about $200 but you might as well get gears with it IMO. yes it'll stop the one wheel peel

an 8.8 can range from $500-$1200 from used to new oh not including shipping

.... if you find one off a junker thats not bent it'll be cheaper... you might wanna open it up and change the oil's and double check it all before an install... this would be probably a two day project... so not that hard just long...
for prices... on a used one... the assholes i tried to contact haven't gotten back to me... after three emails... so sorry

yea but your not gunna get it for no $2,700
a sick motor wou;d be supersix motor sports 4.2L stroked long block! man that'd be awsomebut the price is crazy...$5k a $3k stroked engine though is also a nice buy probably have lik 220hp around which is alot more then wat those v6's come stock with...then you can throw on nitrous a s/c or turbo and have one bad ass stang

$6-7k...since your swapping the engine, but thats deffinitly the way to go,...you can sell parts from that engine as well
you get a stroker motor and stage 3 power pak you should deffinitly be at about 280-300hp which could score you 13s if you drive good. add 150shot of nitrous and you'll deffinitly have 12s or........ you get the stroker and put a single turbo $3k from tma boost it to to 15psi and you should have like 400 easy which will get you 12s for sure that motor will deffinitly handle that and more! you can boost it so you get like 450-500hp....but that rear axle will have to go
