installing exhaust

I'm going to install my exhaust myself over the christmas holidays. I was wondering when installing my headers, if I need a gasket? Or can I just bolt up to the metal with no leaks.

Always a good idea to replace gaskets with new parts.

BBK shorties, off road x pipe, pypes street pro mufflers. By this summer I should have the stage 3 power pack. And about a year from now a turbo from tma. I could buy the powerpack now, But that money is saved up for a 5.0/ or a 4.6 whatever I can get a good deal on and rebuild it

its ont of the easiest mods to do. just get you and one other person. just a jack and jackstands to get the car off the ground.

if you just buy like a mid pipe and catback. then you wont have to weld. but if you make it custom then you will.

unless you buy a dual exhaust cat back for the gt mustang- it would bolt up to an X or H pipe as opposed to the "fual" setup offered through the factory Y
