new rear end.

K so just found out that my rear end might be bad my car shakes alittle on the highway when i get it up to around 75 not bad but noticible . so i had my tires balanced and aligned. and it still shakes (but this is coming from idiots that work at tire kingdom that just change oil and tires all day.) So how much would a 8.8 rear end be installed and everythiing?

Is the drive shaft bolts tight? Try clocking the drive shaft. Are they using sticky weights to balance the rims? I hope they aren't static balancing them.

First...+1 sounds like a balancing issue to me too. However, to answer your question an 8.8 rear and gears after install will be about a grand. But as mentioned I don't think that's the problem. BTW...Unless you are planning on OVER 300RWHP then you don't need an 8.8, stick with the 7.5

i would have them do a high speed dynamic balance it will ensure that the wheels are balanced. I would also recommend takeing it to another shop. and ask if you can watch to ensure they are balancing them.

pull off one of the tires...they should have a sticky weight and a clip weight...clip weight will be hammered on the lip and sticky weight stuck in the wheel....make sure they arent counterbalanced and if thats not it tell them check and make sure the tires arent out-of-round ive worked at discount tire for 3 years...and weve had brand new tires with broken belts and be outta round...tell them to let you in the back while they have the tires on the balancer and make sure there isnt any hopping and that will tell you if its your rims or not
