Lost power

I recently added dual magna flow exhaust to my 2007 V6 mustang. They sound great and I also added a cold air intake but it seems that I don't have as much power as I once had. Is this possible with this type of configuration?

... it could be your power was moved... depending on what you added... you back pressure could have been lessened there for reducing your torque a bit... but the horse power will be greater in the up range

Same thing I experianced when I put the dual exhaust on my '97...

It felt more "soggy" down low.. but then the power increased up higher.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to call the garage and make sure they reset the computer but what I'm experiencing sounds pretty common.

Now I need to figure out how to get that torque back without voiding the warranty.

without voiding the warranty? How did putting the CAI, and exhaust on not void the warranty? Gears and t-lok will give you that punch that you want. Only way to tell is if they really look at your rpm range, and open up your differential, and take a good look. Also I don't think FRPP voids the warranty, but I could be wrong.

i hope your kidding....you need an alternator to turn your car on....and power steering if you dont want to struggle when you turn...and i do agree with you on the ac...i barely use mine the only time i turn it on is if my g/f is in the car because she "doesnt like her hair to be blown around" but other than that i role the windows down

i actually prefer not to have power steering. guess its cuz ive been driving older cars for so long, but now ive got a 96 and it has it. its the first power steering equipped car ive owned (pontiac fiero, 1967 mustang fastback) and also the only one ive driven that i've been comfortable with the power steering of.
