The comments on leaving the transmission in place are for an automatic where the engine only has to move forward slightly then straight up. With a manual trans the engine has to move forward quite a ways to get the input shaft out of the clutch so that would be more difficult.
Also while you might be able to lift a standard trans manually, I wouldn't recommend that with an automatic. |
