braking and weatherstripping....

two questions didnt want to waste this thread.

when the car is braking like...driving down the road and you go to press the brakes, which side is braking the front or back?

also, im looking to getting the weatherstripping replaced around the door windows, anyone know a good place that has a good price? 80.00 for one is crazy.

When you brake both the rear and front brakes are braking however it is split like 60/40 with the front doing the majority of the braking.

I cant help you with the weatherstripping, i need some new weatherstripping on my passenger side too.

The braking is really more like 80% front and 20% rear....

id just go to a stealer and let them do the stripping... that way its warranted somehow.

and, did you bed your pads properly, and turn the rotors?

yeah most likely the rotors. your supposed to take your rotors to a machine shop to have them turned every time you get new brake pads other wise they squeak.

ebay has weather striping for our cars!

Which weather stripping?

Try Late Model Resto...

And as for the brakes, you prolly should have had the rotors turned. That or the pads are incorrectly bedded.

The rotors were smooth as glass, kinda new to. im thinking just the pads squeakin themselves somewhere.

can almost guarantee that its ur fronts. never really hear any squeeking in the back, but if u hear something its most likely the front ones.
