Midwest Mustang...

it was on Ebay, the guy had thousands of positive remarks and sells the used ford genuine for 7.5 on a rather regular basis and did search through the positive remarks for people that bought USED gears from him and they were satisfied. prior to the purchase i asked him more than once if the gears were fine. he said yes... apparently they were not.

my installer will only back up genuine ford gears (whine wise) or FRPP .. but FRPP has had MOTIVE making their gears since 2004 so its hard tracking down FRPP brand ones prior to 2004 these days. The Motive made FRPP gears are no longer made either and virtually impossible to find these days as well, but then again, basically it was motive gears in a FRPP box... so no big deal.

He is sending me 3.73's which he better make sure they are PERFECT because I was pretty upset receiving these when I clearly asked multiple times if there was nothing wrong with them.

yea i know.. but i had no choice, couldnt find them anywhere!! ford genuine for the 7.5.

Actually I find it new, but i would be paying $200 MORE for the new ones and since i apparently tried to verify if everything was GOOD with these, i shouldnt have a problem with the used ones and would be saving $200.

The new ones i've found a few places and they cost with shipping $270

I would say you are better off installing new ring and pinion gears. With a used set, if there is any wear at all, it may be difficult to set them up so they don't whine.
