95 v6 problems


Ive gave up on this car...i had a blown head gasket and it sputtered, i replaced the engine and it still sputters and have had 4 mechanics look at it. I dont even think they knew what the hell they were doing. Any ideas

im putting seafoam through it today...already had spark plugs and wires done

i dont even hardly drive it only when i want to give the gt a break and drive it to school if its raining

if your spark is good then I'd look into air or fuel problems.
check the MAF.
no leaks anywhere in the fuel lines? check your fuel pump also.

have you checked the exhaust? maybe its having back pressure issues....you can unbolt the exhaust from the headers and run it and see if it still does it...

I think the above two suggestions to check fuel and exhaust back pressure are good ideas.

You should check fuel pressure with a gauge and check engine vacuum.
Fuel pressure is supposed be be 40-50 psi if I remember right.
You might also have the injectors flow checked off the engine.
Exhaust restriction should make engine vacuum go down after it's started.

You said you replaced plugs and wires. You might also check the coil.

These are things a good mechanic should have already done.
