cold air induction, more aggressive cam, and ported heads. theres your start. then wen u get another 5-6 hundred, install a 75hp shot of nitrous. there you go, got you a v8 killer.

Congrats on the new stang! But 6500 for a 96 v6? Sound like a little much (unless it had some good mods on it and it wasn't beat on). My 99 was $5K and i thought that was a lot considering kbb on it was $4400ish

NO way dude!

with that kind of income i would save for a stroker kit or a stroked engine.

if you get $700 a week and you can use that towards your car, you'd be much better off waiting like 2months getting a brand new nice engine that:
a) can handle much more power then the motor you have
b) its brand new, so your not gunna have problems for a while with it
c) has more power then your car already once you put it in.

if you can get a 4.2L you'll start off with 220hp (i believe) then in another 2 or 2 1/2 months you can have a s/c or turbo on there and easily push out 450hp, 500hp on it. even throw on a bigger shot of nitrous then the 75shot..

stroker
procharger 11psi kit from VMP
100, 125 or 150shot of nitrous
full exhaust with long tubes
and a tuner or chip or flahser (SCT XCAL2)
with out the nitrous you'll see about 400hp
with it about 550!!!
all that would take about 5-6months but you'll have a reliable engine, and a fuckin badass v6
