Forged Internals

What exactly are forged internals?
What are they for?
Would i be needing them in the near future if i plan on getting a stroked 4.2l, bolt-ons, and maybe a single turbo or a twin-turbo?
And how much are they?
What would be the best site to get them from?

yes you would be needing them. first off you need to know wat internals are. internals refers to the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, rings, etc inside the engine. you can get cast parts (wich are basically just iron poured into a mold to make the part) or you can step up to forged, which are forged out of a solid piece of metal and are stronger. the reason for going to forged internals is because the weaker cast ones cant handle larger amounts of power, so if you plan on adding considerably more power to your engine, then you would be safer to upgrade to a forged crankshaft and connecting rods to prevent engine breakage under heavy acceleration, etc. go to summitracing.com they can hook you up with anything for about any car for the best price around. hope that helps you
