Shop around for the best price. I would suggest checking out the stickies, they are very informative. You can also listen to sound clips of particular exhaust setups to preview what they will be like on your car. Most people run flowmaster 40s.

i had a v6 f150 that i put a cam in, headers, exhaust, efans, painted the intake manifold, and had a cold air intake, plus a chip. i think the best bang for the buck was the chip and cam. i got my stuff at rpmmustangs.com back then, but also supersixmotorsports.com was also a good place to buy stuff. you can also build yourself a remote mounted turbo kit with a t3/t4 hybrid.

H-Pipe (for deeper sound), dual cat-back exhaust, two flow original 40's, some nice chrome tips and your good to go . But since your a 2000 you can get a gt back bumper to make the tips look nice in the cutouts or go dumped. IMO

Not really contributing to the thread but I just bought an o/r slp x-pipe and a borla catback exhaust system for the cobra. Just thought I'd share my excitement =]

I still say go with the cheap starter set up. I got the two mufflers for 40$ then the custom exhaust done for 100$. thats cheaper than one flow installed in oem location.
