need new battery?

So i left my car sitting for two weeks without starting it outdoors. When i went to start it, all the electrical come on but when i went to start it was just a loud clicking noise. I was able to get someone to jump my car and get it running. Unfortunately i didn't have the chance to actually drive it anywhere, so the next day when i went to start it, it made the clicking noise again. Here's my question:

Is the battery on its last legs or is the fact that I'm leaving my car for long periods just something that happens. I was thinking of even investing in a portable car jumper as to not be dependent on someone jumping me every time. Now that I'm in college I dont drive my car as much, so it's going to do alot of sitting.

What do you think? New battery? or portable jumper?

The best way to determine the condition of your battery would be to take it into an autozone or any autoparts store that does battery testing.
