strut bushings

Hey. So I was wondering how hard it would be to change my strut bushings cuz I think they're bad. Whenever I go over a bump I hear this loud squeaking from the driverside rear. Does that sound like my strut bushings?

Oh haha. I'm new to actually doing work on my own car so I'm still getting to know all this stuff. But Thanks for the heads up

The reason I was thinking that cuz I was searching for info on the problem and came across a thread that sounded exactly like what I was hearing and greenfaleen, I think, said it was the guys strut bushing.

Any idea what my problem might be?

So I can just go to autozone or whatever and buy some new bushings right? What do I need to get strut bushings or what? And basically how do I do it?

yeah just go get a new bushing kit, normally comes with all of them and take out your rear shocks (youll need to rent a spring compressor) and pull them out and reseat the bushings

Is the noise from the front or back of the car. As mentioned, try bouncing each corner of the car to see where it's coming from.

If it's the front there are strut top mounts with rubber bushings and you can replace those. I would think it could also be a ball joint or lower control arm bushing.

For the rear there is a shock not a strut and you could replace those. Here it could also be a control arm bushing.

you know what. i never used a spring compressor. and i even did the stuff by myself in under a couple hours for the rear and the front springs were even easier.
i changed my struts and shocks and the isolators on my springs.
* next time i take all this crap off i'm video taping it cause its a hell of alot easier then using the stupid spring compresser I had.
only bad thing i could say was i literally kicked in my front springs.
