Gauge Swap

Can you swap the gauge from a v6 cluster to a v8 cluster? My cluster isn't the Roush cluster and I was wanting to order the v8 roush cluster for mine, instead of the v6 roush cluster. Would this cause any issues or not?

Is there any way to adjust that, or should I just stick with the v6 cluster?

surely with a tune you could adjust it, but not just a handheld tuner's default options. you would need to get into the computer. ford dealers have programs that let them do that stuff, and im sure some shops might too.

The biggest reason I'm looking to go to the v8 cluster is it reads 150 versus 120. And when I'm done, I'll be able to do 150+ in it. I can already break 120 in it. Not that it's very smart to be doing. It takes a good couple of seconds for it to come back down from there to, so I'm thinking I may have been push 130+, again probably not very smart. I was just looking for a cluster that could read up to 150. If it will be to much of a pain to do, I'll just stay with the v6 cluster.

stay with the 120, You'll just get pissed when your doing 133 and your'e only reving 5000 rpm but the car won't give you any more. At least with a 120 you can say you pegged it.

that will not re-calibrate the speedometer. that is just the instructions for installing Simco, LTD gauge clusters. I have the Simco, LTD 120mph White gauge cluster...

Dealers would be able to reprogram it, but I've heard they charge around $150, so I wouldn't think it's worth it just to have the speedo say 150mph.

Stop driving like a retard.
