If you dont have turbo plans then go with longtubes...give better trq range then shortys, shortys are better for a turbo setup down the road because u can just switch sides....the long tubes are better for power and sound so basically alll around....the con is buying a special mid pipe or creating one just do a full MAC system

http://v6mustangstuff.com/Headers.htm

the longtubes on www.V6mustangstuff.com cost 40$'s more then shortys which isn't much but you'll pick up extra weight but performance along with sound so you cant go wrong for 40$'s more Im getting shortys but thats because i have a catback to a offroad xpipe already I rather not buy the longtubes then buy a short mid xpipe then sell my old....I just dont have time for that i rather get other bolt ons plus i want to Twin Turbo my car neways so thats whats in store for my V6....but if i didnt have turbo plans def. Longtubes

there is a great thread about this in the 5.0 section if that interests you at all. The outcome: LTs if you can afford it because they are definitely worth it.

if you plan on getting turbo....most turbo kits come with turbo headers...making the shorty's pointless to have

best idea

long tubes-

OK about shortys being useless lemme see...if you dont wanna pay 5000 or higher for a twin turbo kit that come with headers then why not buy shortys turn them around on different sides then weld a pipe from the to the turbo instead of paying so much money i rather do things my self because saving money isnt worthless hmmm nice one

MAC would be the best option or getting the mid pipe and a new cat back exhaust, and when selecting what to buy it says w/ air injection and w/o air injection is that talking about an aftermarket CAI or some sort of forced induction or what.
