Ehecu Newbie Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 13	'98 3.8 - Any ideas? Hey fellas - Just recently bought a 98 mustang and I absolutely love this thing! While it is a v6, I still wouldn't mind a bit more bite when I punch the accelerator so I'm looking for some modding ideas. My budget isn't exactly huge (a few hundred to start with), but I do have a mechanic in the family who wouldn't mind doing me a few favors if necessary. Any ideas to start off with? (oh, and it's a manual)

My67_fastback Regular Join Date: Dec 2006 Location: oklahoma Posts: 196	ya i agree, the 25 buck cold air intake, and i'd say go for the 3.73 gears if you can afford that. and if your mechanic in the family knows anything about porting heads, have him port your heads out for you. __________________ TO: Ricers- 1) there's no replacement for displacement 2) my lug nuts require more torque than your engine makes 3) a light car doesn't excuse a weak engine 4) a bottle of pepsi has more liters than your car eating rice builds muscle

Ehecu Newbie Join Date: Nov 2006 Posts: 13	Sounds good... I actually picked up one of AmericanMuscle's CAI kits a week or two back so that's taken care of. What kind of gains would I see from a dual exhaust, or are they primarily for show?
