2000-2004 Max Power

Hi everyone. I need this info for a friend; however I may be buying a Mustang next year as well. The question is how much power can a 2000 V6 Mustang handle on stock internals?

As far as my Mustang purchase is concerned, I want to buy a V8, but gas is expensive, in case you haven't noticed . But my body produces testosterone so I'm not sure about a V6. My friend has a V6 and won't shut up about it. Says how "It's the best car ever! Better than an Evo, 350Z, STI, cause it's a FAST V6 mustang!" So annoying. lol. He's getting reckless any more though with it so he won't have it much longer.... But what do you guys think I should go with V6 or V8? Thanks.

it all depends on what you want to do to it and how much you are willing to spend on gas, you want lots of horsepower straight up... go for the v8.... you want to mod the hell out of it and get crap loads of hp.. get a v6.. i have a v6 and i love it

do yourself a favor and DONT get a GT
if your gonna get a v8 get one with a better motor
5.0 or a 4v at minimum

you can put some power on these v6 with a stock bottom
they can handle about the same power a GT's stock bottom can
im currently pushing 390rwhp on the stock bottom
im about to do a compression test before i head in for a re-tune
depending how that goes 400+rwhp will be the goal
with a smaller crank pulley, 10psi, adjusted cam with all the bugs fixed that extra 10rwhp should be to hard of a goal at all

get a V8

but like they said... not a 2V... go 4V

the gas mileage between the V8 and V6 is really not all that different... about 1-3 mpg difference, which can be made up for with a few bolt ons

i could have bought a GT or a sixer...as u can see i chose the v6...iv only regretted it when a v8 camaro or ls1 wants to run...besides that i know that after a good modding spree ill find them and piss them off, and remind them its a sixxer...

nobody asked the most important questions

how much cash you have for the car?

how much power you want?
