No, he will experience less body roll with increased damping in both compression and rebound.

Why would he overbalance? You can overDAMP, but that is a result of the relationship between the springs and dampers, mostly... and in this case, they will be matched, so that won't be a problem.

if he actually matches the springs it wont be as big as a problem but he is still going to over balance some out of the turn its going to put a force to on the car that is meant for a heavier and overall stiffer suspension

Here's Koni... it's listed as 94-04 (All Models)... no differentiation between V8's and V6's:

steeda was a kit so that probably the difference there, but when I called koni and bilstein they both said they had a light damper for the v6s

the strut is meant for a car with a heavier nose, when it tries to straighten the car out it will pull it past the relaxed position of the spring cause what you called over dampening

Just for those who don't know Ford used the same platform from 1979 to 2004 with minor tweaks, you know things that came along with the new body style. so you aren't dealing with apples and oranges, more like granny smiths and golden delicious...

also, for finally tuned suspensions, like steeda, i can see it being possible that the smallest weight differences, 2 more pistons, could affect the suspension in minute ways...

Being that it's essentially the same car, I don't see why the front-to-back weight ratio would be THAT different. Not that it really makes any difference in this discussion anyway.

Well, they don't LIST a different one on either of the links I posted. Doesn't mean they absolutely don't exist, but if they do, they're not listed in a "normal" spot on their websites.

I was on the phone so thats possibly the case

I think your using damp where im using pull, and balance. and over damping will pull the spring pass the relaxed state causing over correction

Yeah, it does, but the fact that I was using V8 components on my MUCH, MUCH lighter Foxbody, and getting very, very noticeable results proves MY point, not yours.

Dampers don't PULL... they DAMP... as in resist quick movements.

If your car is overdamped, you won't end up PAST the "relaxed state" after 1 oscillation, you won't even REACH 1 oscillation.
