SCT Tuner Suggestions

I'm new to the site. I currently own a 2001 V-6 convertible with the following mods: Pypes dual exhaust, BBK Cold Air Intake, BBK 65mm throttle body, Ford Racing lowering springs (1 1/2" drop), 18" staggered wheels and a few cosmetic changes. My question is this, I just purchased an SCT X3 Flash Tuner. Though its easy to use, does anyone have any suggestions on I should program my vehicle (shift points, idle speed, spark, etc...)? Any input would be appreciated.

Depending on where here got it from, it should have a tune already in it. If not he could just get the three tune deal from justin at VMP.

The canned tunes are perfect and with the mods he has, I would doubt he would really get anything else out of it by changing anything. I mean, why take any chances messing with something like A/F ratio to get an extra 2 hp? Not worth blowing shit up. The canned tunes are fantastic. I have to say, I made tiny adjustments to the shift points and red line just to see how it felt and reacted but I quickly tuned it back to the standard canned tunes. The engineers are paid good bucks to set those canned tunes up in order to maximize performance and minimize risk.

But hey,,, (just for fun)... select tire size and make them bigger.. then go WOT! Its fun watching the speedo go from 0-120 in 3 seconds! However, change it back ASAP because you will log miles on the odometer in light speed!

i wouldnt change anything but shift points to 6k, shift firmness, and take the top speed off. But only after you uploeaded the sct tune. I wouldnt mess with timing or anything like that.

Still waiting to hear from him to see what he got with the tuner.
As for messiing with the timing, I was able to do it with a little help from some people on here as I have mine advanced a totoal of 3 degrees for 89 octane. Could advance it another degree or two if I went with 93.
Although I still use the same advancement with 87 and no knocking.

I wouldnt adjust timeing on any tune for the sheer fact that to the sct 1 degree is in reality about 1.5
