Gas leak... HELP

I just went to the gas station on my way home from work and filled up and noticed my leg was wet and i saw a good size puddle of has leaking from the hose connecting to the fuel tank onto my right exhaust tip.... I diddnt notice till after i filled it and im pretty sure it wasnt happening before. I drove home and it wasnt leaking anymore but a put a bucket under the area incase... what should I do about this? I dont see a hole or cut in the hose and the spot is so wet i cant pin point the spot. Its a 2000 v6 btw

most likely your filler grommet is leaking
it'll only leak when full or near full at its level

cost $7 or so at ford and takes about an hour to replace

Same thing happened to me, $13 rubber seal/grommet from ford. The guy at the parts counter said its very common on all the mustangs even the sn197's. He said thats one part i always keep in stock. Anyway, pulled the trunk fabric out to get to the filler hose. Its a bitch fishing it through on mine cause the hose is metal and has some awkward angles. But it can be done in an hour or so. Good luck!

Thanks me and my dad took a look and its definitely the filler grommet. Sitting still and driving cause no leak and it only happened when filling. Thanks for the info, guess I'll be stoping by ford...
