possible new project car

IM considering getting a new project V6 car
a 99-04 new edge perferably a 01-04
this would be strickly an n/a motor car.

it would also be gutted to the bones but cleanly.
then a posi thrown in and some nittos, delete the a/c then try and get some e/t's with a bone stock v6 and just posi and tires. the goal would be a flat 15.
then the mods would begin

it will be a budget car for sure. i'd P&P the heads and intakes, and throw in a regrind camshaft then nitrous and a tune.
i'll get headers and exhaust and pulleys and make a cold intake kit but keeping the stock intake so that the engine looks stock. the nitrous would be hidden and im still debating where i'd put the jet.
the stock rims will stay on too. only thing noticable would be the nitto's or mickeys
none the less i am looking for a new v6 now.

the basic goal will be 2800lb sixer, manual steering, no a/c, possible electric water pump. hidden bolt ons, hidden nitrous kit, h/c/i and supporting mods
about 290+rwhp and 370+rwtq with a 80-100shot
those numbers are actually pretty low ball for h/c/i nitrous motor

depending when i start welding class i may work up a hidden turbo kit, it would probably be remote but it wouldnt be viewable. it'l most likely stay a nitrous car though and all motor

stay tuned

cool shit man.

some carbon fiber body parts (stock style of course, and painted to match the car) would really help cut the weight down.

and how gutted are you going to go with the interior. cut a lot or weight but keep it looking stock as you possible, get rid or a lot of the unneeded things but still some what what stock looking, or bare bones. with nothing but a racing seat, steering wheel, gagues and a shifter, sort of thing

rear mount run the pipes out beside the exhaust and pull it through your fenderwell going to your intake with your BOV in your fenderwell and you can cut out your side scoops and put your intake filters for the turbos there

i was going to do a hidden setup awhile back ive thought it through a lot as well as had plans drawn up lol

im not 100% sure
i wont lie this will be a money street race car only pretty much. so the stock appearance is just for show and money so im not 100% sure how that might go down, i might keep carpet and carpet some stuff so it doesnt look to bad.
tubular k-member and a-arms will be a must and it will be manual sterring also carbon fiber hood hopefully if i can find a stock one. if not a cowl. and carbon trunk.

i'll be fabbing some other stuff up as well

actually yea, theres a stock as hell looking evo that burned the piss out of a 1000hp vette, s/c'd and nitrous vette! $1200 race! evo smoked him by 5+cars

i dont plan on taking cars like that but shit racing a STOCK v6 mustang lol now that alone people mainly cobra and GT owner and z28's, SS will be a murder list.

also all stereo equipment is going out as well.
i just want to put out an n/a v6 that can run hard
eventually it'll be a 4.3 stroker nitrous fed with a nasty cam but thats not for a while. like 1-2years
i might consider a high lift cam for the stock motor but it has to sound stock or close. if anything a bolt on v6 isnt bad. with a cam. still sounds slow to most

the nitrous though its going to be hard to pass off a run for $100+ dollar saying im not spraying it.
im even considering little motorcycle nitrous bottles like 2-3 of them and hide it in the fenders

a 10lb bottle is easy to catch

trust me ive thought about what your saying
but racing for $300 and $500 with the wrong guy looking through your car and catches it. its not a pretty ending in miami

i might have a rear seat delete but even hiding the bottle behind and putting a carpet board to hide it from the trunk side can be noticable.
a little tiny bottle though like 2 on each fender isnt noticable. i can spray or once or twice. done.
or i'll get a 5lb bottle and see how i can hide that

yeah I can see that, you could hollow out your side scoop area and fit a 2.5lb in each one pretty easily

just put them in the glove compartment. since you are going to be doing a lot of fabbing just make it so the door doesnt hinge, instead it just comes off and clicks in. that way its bigger. who is going to look in a glove compartment for nitrous i mean come on haha

since the dash and almost everything behind it is being taken out i might hide it there. only thing is bottle fills will be a pain in the ass. kind of. this project still has time so i'll see when i get there.

hiding the buttons will be a breeze.
i want to use my cruise control for it but even that i dont want.
i'll use a 99-00 center counsel. the cup holders can be lifted and i can hide my switches there

1) i wouldn't call bs on chris. usually when he wants to do something he does it\
2) it would be sweet to have a sleeper that looks almost stock and then blow some unsuspecting cobra away.
