lambo doors

Hey, I wanna know if anyone has lambo doors on their stang and what mark they are. I know most people thinks only ricers get them but f*ck that I really love the look it gives. So far the only mark i've heard good about is the the Germen engineered LSD kits but just the kit goes for a little more than 2K. Anynoe have other suggestions???

Thanks

True i do have lambos..lol

I got mine for $500 total on ebay some months ago however i cant find that same price as of now. They're direct bolt on. You can still find 90 degree weld on kits for about 500 but the direct bolt on cheapest ive seen is about $750

^^^ yeah hows it holding up the bolt on??? The problem is that i've talked to a couple of people that have the 600$ bolt on kits but after a year they needed a vice grip to hold the door up!! I'd rather spend a bit more money and not have the door fall on my head while i'm getting out of my car. By the way my stang is a 2001.

Thanks

Theirs nothing wrong with the hinges at all. gas struts still holding strong. I would tighten the door bolts maybe a week or two after you install them to make sure their tight as can be cause you dont want the door or hinge moving against the body and lose your alignment.

Make sure for the shock you either mount it as i did and protect it with something or mount it so the seal is facing downward. i didnt do that cause i figured water could still roll down the edge of the shock and make its way into the seal so i mounted it the other way and used a tie rod end boot which fit perfectly snug around the gas strut bar. when the doors in the normal lower position it completely covers the seal on the strut from rain and the elements.

And even if the struts went out after some time you can order new ones for about $50-$100 so not a huge deal.

i just took a pic of it in the closed position..

make sure whoever you have do the doors does a spectacular job on extending the wires cause ive seen people with professionally installed weld on type doors and because the wires were routed improperly or were not crimped right either fell apart and you lost electronic door functions or the wire bundle would rub up against something till the point it was to bare wire.

I would make sure you check that all wires and crimped and tested after each wire to make sure a good connection was made and its not just gonna fall out. when all wires all extended wrap the whole bundle from end to end tightly with electrical tape and then do it again once your finished wrapping it the first time. I also covered mine in black wire loom as you can see and zip tied it in place in multiple places. i've had no problem since i installed the hinges this way so i'd say it works pretty good. If you can think of a way to even better protect the harness have at it.
