not too terrible hard if you have the right tools. air compression with air gun helps out alot too. everything is just bascially bolt off and bolt back on like a lego.. one thing, if you do the 8.8 or 9.0 make sure you get the driveshaft for that rear end as they are different in size. i did a 7.5 to a 9.0 and didnt think bout the drive shaft....needless to say i was mad that all that work i did and i had to wait on a drive shaft lol. something like that should probalby take you half to a day depending on your patients and knowledge. good luck let us know when u finish it.

Whoa going to the 8.8 takes an 8.8 driveshaft too? I never knew that.

Cheap. Fast. Reliable. Pick 2.

Stick with the stock driveshaft and save up for a good aluminum one.

If you couldnt figure that out its...

Cheap and Fast=not Reliable.
Ceap and Reliable=Not Fast.
Fast and Reliable=Not Cheap.
