exhaust / midpipe help

i bought recently a MAC h pipe made to fit my short headers and a flowmaster 40 catback designed for gt

first problem i see is i need hangers thats the easy part

the big problem i found out is how the hell does the h pipe attach because from the looks of the length of the h pipe, it looks like it is desgined to replace the whole y pipe and the cats and connect straight to the headers which is not good because i need the cats still on (for only bullshit emissions) but someone help me out here

yeah, aftermarket midpipes do away with your stock midpipe, which means it will also do away with your catalytic converters if you bought an offroad midpipe

you'll just have to put your stock midpipe back on your car when you have to have your emmissions checked

Or you could just buy a catted h-pipe and bolt it right up, much easier than having an euast shop try to weld on your stock cats

what emissions tests to they do where you live? If they just check your OBD youll be fine with MIL eliminators or a tuner.

lol I got bored so i looked it up New Jersey Smog Checks - Emissions Regulations, NJ Smog Testing Stations - DMV.ORG it looks like they just do the diagnostics check so i would put the H pipe and dont weld on the cats. You just need to buy mil eliminators to lie to the car so when they check it will come up clear. You could keep the old y pipe just in case.

Well on the site it only says it has the Diagnostic test, which i believe because in chicago they do the same thing. I mean i passed emissions with Lt's, O/R H, and 40's Basically a joke and wasted tax money.

Well cant speak for him but my flowmaster 40's catback was 475 installed. I didnt have to have them cut and weld anything but they installed my midpipe for free.
