I betcha TMA will make one if you pay full price no stupid question/bs and don't harass them at all. of course, i'm just guessing that Andy or who ever doesn't want punks and idiots emailing him and what not.

So is there only like one company that makes turbos?
I have a couple questions. Sorry to threadjack but this title is perfect for my question. I have a stock 2002 v6 with 112k miles on it. Is it worth turbo/supercharging it with that many miles? Whats the difference between a supercharge and turbo? |

Turbos. But it can also be more expensive.

thats extremely brief and not to helpful
the difference between a turbo and s/c are many a s/c uses power from your motor to make power. thus that overall makes it less efficent with smaller power gains over a turbocharger. generally about a 40rwhp difference or 3-4psi different.(note not what pressure you'll see but the gains of 3-4psi) next turbochargers use already burnt exhaust gases from your motor that hit the turbine and the heat plus movement expands and turns the turbine wheel, spinning it and exiting out the the turbo onto exhaust piping(for turbo cars). this turbine wheel has fins that allow it to turn and move the air to the exhaust piping that turbine wheel is connected to a shaft and that shaft rides on oil lubricated bearings(the do make dry bearing turbos though) the shaft then goes through to another turbine wheel int he compressor side of the turbo which sucks outside air in and compresses it and forces it to an intercooler or you motor. either way it gets to your motor. this system doesnt rob any engine power. and with the correct turbo turbo lag can be VERY minimal. on s/c sites you will hear mostly positive things about s/c and it will leave out many positives of the turbo over all no s/c system will come close to the power of a turbocharged system at the same psi levels. turbo systems can be found very cheap as well as s/c and front mount turbos are much harder to install over s/c systems. not extremely hard but compared to s/c its more difficult although remote turbo systems are EXTREMELY easy to install can take just as little time as s/c to install

going by what chris said, it sounds like andy probably wouldn't be interested in payments, so your buddy would be better off getting a loan or saving up
