Ok stop the bickering about this. In the end it works but yes it is not the safest thing to do to a battery. Either way will work hard reset or totally disconnecting the battery for 15 min. Choose your best route do it and be done with it.

No it is 100% safe to do and is different than unhooking the battery or 15 mins, they are 2 different kinds of resets. The hard reset will fix things the 15min reset will not
