Mustang Convertibale?

What do u guys think of a conv? i have a 99 v6 hard top but am looking at getting a 2000 GT conv i found a good deal on one and might be able to trade my car plus cash.. I live in Florida and i plan on installing my nitrous kit and other mods like cai exhaust pullies etc.. just some bolt ons im not planning on making this into a full out drag car just will take it once a month or so? my question is what are some of the bad things about a conv?

It wieghs more. The extra wieght comes from supporting metal to support the frame seeing as how that is part of what the roof is for. Overall, I would say do it, simply because its a gt.

I've never owned one, but I know folks who had issues with wind noise and leaks. They are sexxy though.

Really not much. I own one and dont fall for those myths, lol. I never had any wind, noise, or leak problems. There will be a little more noise than a coupe but that's understandable. Well it happens to some and those people cry so much, just wanting others to feel bad for them. Those are the ones that give it a bad name. It weighs around 150 more and that's not much. My mustang now weighs as much as a coupe...did a little weight removal.
There's nothing like going on a cruise with the top down, listening to the exhaust note while enjoying the scenery.
Not to mention the majority of girls just LOVE convertibles, lol.

I've had verts for over 11 years. No leaks, wind noise not a problem. Just make sure the top is in good working order <motor>. Suspension will definately need some upgrades if not done already and as long as you are not doing motorcross type track events, you shouldn't need a roll bar. !/4 mile's don't require it yet. But should you ever decide to do motorcross type racing, you'd be better off with a coupe. : ) But enjoy it, verts are fun.
