you gain 1-3hp and some throttle response from any kit, get the cheapest you can find

question has been answered MANY TIMES. But yeah any will work the same. The filter is no big deal also with your car. The cheapy that comes with the kit will work just find. Ebay used to have some hella cheap ones, but they are gone you can still pick one up for like 70 bucks on there i believe. Cheapest one you can find is just fine

i've made several at Home Depot. here is one i did on my '91 coupe. it was origionally going to be a fenderwell cold air but i later decided to opt for more filter surface area so i modified it. ![]()

concidering your mass air meter actually bolts to the elbow you might be better off just spending the money on a pre-fabbed kit.

DONT USE PVC, it is extremely dangerous when it gets hot building one from home depot is fine but use a high temp ABS plastic

it isnt the fumes PVC at even 100 degrees starts to change its molecular structure which will give off chemicals that will eat away at your engine internals
