Pacesetter Adapter Kit vs Catted H-Pipe

I'm new to moddedmustangs and about ready to put dual exhaust on my 3.8 stang. Ive been looking around and the sound i like is the mac catted h-pipe, but i cant find it anywhere, not even on mac's site. i know i could get and o/r h-pipe and weld on cats, but how much would that cost? also, if anyone has tried/know someone who has tried the pacesetter adapter kit, how did that work? If possible, could you compare it to a catted h-pipe. I only have $500 to spend, and i need to buy the midpipe and cat-back,the have it installed. Also, there aren't any good exhaust shops around where i live, so having one custom made isnt going to happen. also, i dont like how the x-pipe sounds on a v6, so please dont mention them. thanks for the help

500 should be plenty enough for an exhaust shop to fab up something for you

the pacesetter is just an adapter so u can put GT exhausts on there

ya, ive heard that $500 will get me a nice set up, but the problem is, by the time i got to a nice exhaust shop from my house, i wouldnt be able to spend the $500, i would have put it all into gas...
all i have around here is a window tinting/audio shop that just will install the parts, but i have to provide them. i plan on going to the shop nov. 11th, and i want to figure out what i want to do before i go there.

No, i think it comes after the y pipe. Its basically used if you want to use GT catbacks. The only reason i could think of using that is because some companies like SLP dont offer v6 specific catbacks.

I'm pretty sure it replaces the y-pipe. And like the others have said, it lets you use a GT catback. Click on the link in my sig to see what it looks like

ya, it replaces the y-pipe, ive read instructions for installing them and you cut out the y-pipe. but ive heard different definitions of "true duals" so is the adapter kit "true dual" exhaust

i live in nc, but i do love the o/r mac h-pipe, the only thing is, i want the car street legal. were u able to keep your car street legal with them? ive heard u can get by with an o/r pipe in some states...
if u go long enough without selling it, i would consider buying it, and giving you 100$ plus whatever the shipping would cost, unless that wont work for you.
