best suspension mods for DD

Hey everyone. Recently I've been getting all kinds of squeaks and stuff from my suspension so I figured I might as well start working on it. So in your opinion what should I do? I have about $1700, it would be great to have to spend less but that's what I have. This will be my DD with an occasional trip to the track.

Someone had suggested the drag paks, stage 1 and 2, from steeda. I don't think they come with shocks though. So which shocks would be good

The single best suspension mod for the SN95 platform, is sub-frame connectors. This will substantially stiffen the frame and help with some noises, both current and future. The existing noises may be worn bushings in current CA's and such, so get them checked out as this may solve current noise.

contact maximum motorsports , they have packages to suit any need and price range.
another problem with fox bodies and SN95 is the soft bushings that causes a good bit of sway. maximum motorsports has a torque arm package to cure this. its a torque arm,and
panhard bar.if you go with this setup you should use ford motorsport fms-m-5500-a UCAs
to keep the rear suspension from binding. and you can use LCAs with poly bushings.

the sports package from maximum motorsports is a good start for a suspension kit at a bargain price

The SN95 platform began in '94 and continued unchanged until '98. The "New Edge" is built on the SN95 platform, but of course, has a new body so sometimes referred to as SN95/New Edge

The Bullit handles better than the GT and is an original Ford part, so compatability and fit is will not be an issue. At 1" drop, you will not mess up the geometry of suspension, but will gain a small amount of neg. camber. This will create some additional wear to inside of tires up front, but will help on track days.

If you are looking for a nice complete kit for 1" drop, I think this is a good one. Will be quite comfortable for a DD and perform better at the track than current suspension. This should keep you under your $1700 budget as well

Sweet. I was hoping so. I'm getting a complete bushing kit also. And with the money I save I can get long tube headers.

By bushing kit, do you mean poly all around or what?

I ask because you will introduce quite a bit of road noise by stiffening up the bushings. You will also stiffen the response of chassis, so your cornering will improve.

As for LT's, you won't get much performance improvement on the 4.6 unless you go FI.

Squeaking may possibly be ball joints if it's from the front wheels... MM is a great brand if you're trying to go all out a kit would be your best bet, especially for your price listed so everything is made to work together. Suspension is a great mod in my opinion, espeically if you live around curves : )

Yea I think its a poly bushing kit. I don't mind a stiff ride. And too its not a 4.6v8 its a 3.8v6 and I know that the LT's won't rally give much performance on their own. I'm gonna be doin a lot of engine work and eventually slapping a vortech on

Sounds good, but would be nice to see a reasonable sized pic though

To clarify, the poly's won't necessarily ride more "stiff" as in jarring, but rather just more road noise and quicker steering response. I went the next step and went Heim joints
