Backspacing

I found a set of ebay spacer that looks like it will fix the problem.
eBay Store ? Brenspeed's Stang Recycler: Search results for mustang spacers.

Spacing a 1/2" should fix my rubbing problem.

Found a nice set of wheels, and tires that looks like a good deal.
eBay Store ? Brenspeed's Stang Recycler: Search results for wheels, and tires.

With these mods I can have a cloned copy, just like everybody else.
Not what I really want!

Question: I noticed that 31 spline axles come in different lengths.
29.188 in.
29.969 in.
30.688 in.
What size do I need?

03-V6-Coupe
Brimstone Yellow

I have already ordered a 8.8 31 spline posi mustang cobra unit, now I am going to need axles.

I am begining to feel like I am the only person around here old enough to remember the old CRAGAR WIRE WHEELS, and the red painted brake drums.
I know it's old-hat, but I Like it!

cragar still makes the soft 8s from 30 a piece but thats about all they make anymore Id run those over stock Lincoln rims. But 1/2in spacers are asking for trouble. If your getting an 8.8 your obviously into some form of performance and a hard turn with spacers is going to sheer your rims right off

i could see modifying your car or going well out of your way to make a set of rims work if they were badass, but for these, i wouldnt be modifying shit on my car, i would just turn them into boat anchors.

I like using ACDSee 10

Just a few setup options.
I think I need a much bigger tri-bar spinner.

15" Aluminum spares from Lincolns work well as a cheap wheels for skinnies. The only thing needed is a 1/4" spacer.

So, what's the trick?
How do I fix the 1/2" needed backspace if I shift over to the 17" rims?

As for the wired out 17" Cragars, I feel that they could never handle the grip of a Pirelli, and the torx of a modern V6.

I also feel the same way about the Dayton spokes too!

What do you think?

Maybe you should get those center caps that have swords or spikes on them so if/when another mustang rolls up and laughs at your wheels, you can simply swerve into him and slice his tires with your center caps. Like on the little rascals.

Umm...aren't those new edge stockers? Didn't they come on the V6's of 99-01 or so before they realized that five spokes look better?
