Question

15" Lincoln Wheels Don't Fit over the Calipers

What to do, what to do?
Got a set of Lincolin Bill Blass wire spoke rims, and spent hours cleaning, and polishing them.
Mounted a set of Green Diamond tires on them, and bolted one on the front.

I can be such a bone head at times,
The rim binds on the calipers, and the wheel just will not turn.
Lucky me; I noticed this while I was tighting the lug-nuts.

I was thinking,.. "maybe I should dig out my grinder, and fix those calipers."
Then agian, Maybe I should just ask you Guys for a quick fix answer.

I hope I don't need to buy a whole new set of wheels, and tires; I have spent enough for the ones I have already.

What to do, what to do?
Maybe I should just buy a Lincoln to go with the wheels I already have.

When I make a mistake, it is never a small one!
PS. V6 03 Yellow Coupe

Well, tomorrow I will try out my grinder with a rough grit flap disk.
It looks like only the corners need tending to from the marks in the rubbed off dirt.
I am believe I might need a 1/4" spacer also.

As for sending pictures, well,.. I'm going to need to re-size the ones my camers takes.
They are much too large for a posting.

to each his own, but those are the uglies wheels i have ever seen. Why would you put lincoln wheels on a mustang? If i were you i would either invest in some good wheels or find a cheap pair of 99-04 v6 wheels on ebay. Holyshit man, why would you grind down on your ride to fit a pair of senior citizen wheels on ur car. It will look like hell.

My, My!
Share the wealth!

If a Man is digging a ditch, it is much easier to stand up there, and critasize his work than to climb down there and help him!

I don't need tires; I bought a set of Green Diamonds: ever heard of them?
It is just another one of those brands that inpregnates the rubber with a mixture of silicon carbide.
That stuff comes in real handy when you hit "Black-Ice!"
Also, a car can climb a hill that is covered with ice, and do it without the need of a set of tire-chains.

Yada, Yada, Yada!

Now you were saying, you are selling me a matching set of 5 Mustang rims that are 17" and you have decided (out of the goodness of your heart) not to charge for the postage. That only comes to $100.oo Sounds like a good deal to me!!!
You see, I always like to carry a matching spare.
Please send them C.O.D. and "PM" Me so I can give you my Street Addy.

Ok, enjoy putting lincoln hooptie wheels on your 03 mustang. i was giving you advice so you dont do all that work and take a step back and realize they are shit. You have a spare in your trunk for a reason, so you dont need to lug around a huge ass matching wheel. You can find 4 v6 mustang wheels on ebay for 300 bucks with tires. Or you could shit up your car and put those wheels on. Why dont you just keep the wheels you already have? (the mustang wheels).

Im not a fan of making fun of what people do to their cars, but that response from you kinda rubbed me the wrong way.

They are only 15" from the 94-98 Generation: dull, grey paint, and I really do like spokes. I guess I'm a bit of old school.
I didn't get the OEM 16" that originally came with the car; I got the bait and switch model that came with a used care: the one I bought.

Didn't you read Answer 1.
The car came with an older set of 15" Mustang wheels when I bought it.

Yea, like i said to each his own, but wheels like that just dont match. But, put em on, dont mess the calibers up, and then you can get a much better look. if you like em, then rock the hell outta of em, its your car. Keep us posted with some pics.

As I once said:

"When I make a Mistake, it is not a small one!"
"Work with what you got!"

When I come across a Great deal on a set of Wire Spoke Wheels that will fit my Mustang, I will buy them!
As soon as I get a photo re-sizing program, I will post some pix!
