exhaust and headers


how much horsepower is an exhaust and headers going to get me and which one should i buy for my 1999 v6 manual. I want the most horsepower gain and how much would i be looking to spend i have about a grand to spend right now.

It can range from 300-600+ for exhaust-then labor, or you could do it yourself. As for hp...well, it's more for sound than for anything. Duals also has a better look to it.

If you live in Cali check out MMR. They just installed my exhaust and headers for $350 when GAS wanted something outrageous like $900!!!

Yea if possible i would say install the headers by yourself might take awhile but its worth it. I ended up having a shop install mine and wasted a good amount of money when i could have done it myself.

full mac system, lt headers, all the way back to tips =)
thats what I have and it sounds like a nasty beast on drugs at WOT with keeping the sounds of a v6 mustang legit without it sounding like a import car, my way of explaining it, at idle it sounds like a mini v8 haha. Thoough if your worried about loudness dont get it, keeping the cats
