I have heard that all those goodies arent really that great unless you have many mods.

Ok since I have the mods, I can speak on em. I don't have the msd's but I have the coil pack and some livewire spark plug wires. Get them. Thats all there is to it. Very easy to install, and also helps out with poweradders, and your overall performance if you keep it n/a. You can feel the difference when you install them also. It's a mod that you can feel the difference in.

Now, I havent noticed a difference with anything ive did yet, so what does this difference amount to? I have no idea what to expect because ive never felt it.

This is a mod that you will notice when you get on it a bit. It won't be a big feeling, but it is noticable. Make sure that you put the new wires on when you do that. Stock wires will only put out so much, so just do it all at once.

Has anybody ever had MSD's and Livewires? Anyone personally compared? Why did you choose what you did?

I have livewires. They are alright, but readin the specs between the two...msd is more worth your money. They also run at much lower ohms than the Livewires. I'm thinkin about switching to msd.

Just go with the 8.5. You will be happy with them.
