sct x3 tuner question

i just put new gears in my car so i want to buy a tuner so that the speedometer will be calibrated correctly. So they have you tell them what your mods on your car currently are and your tuner is adjusted to those settings when you get it. If i put more mods on will i have to send the tuner back to them to have them re program it.
