we're not talking about just you dude...don't take offense to it, we mean for everyone in the V6 section...hahawe're just joking and it just happened to come up in this thread plus you asked about the throttle body which is a good question because 1) it's not covered in that sticky and 2) you wouldn't have known that it gives you no gains... which would be a waste of your money that and the sticky doesn't give much info on pulleys either now that I look at it... so you're all good (as long as you don't ask us what's the best exhaust setup, then we will rip your balls off )

ive got exhaust so im good there haha. when you said, "no on the throttle body... you're not going to see any more gains from a larger tb unless you P&P everything to match...", what do you mean by that?

basically widening and smoothing the airflow so for a wider throttle body to have any gains, you would need to port the rest of the intake to match it's size |

basically look at it this way... you have a few straws connected together... all of the straws are the same size... and you are sucking air through the straws... much like an engine sucks air through the parts of the intake
now replace the straw at the opposite end from you (the "motor") with a bigger straw... obviously there's not going to be much difference in ease by only changing the size of 1 straw... you would need to change all the straws to the bigger straws to make it even easier... |

Like me, i plan on doing an engine swap. Will it ever happen? No way, ill sit here, waste hours upon hours of my life researching engine options and intakes and trannies when i could be studying. Ill never save up enough to do the project. I will be driving a v6 for the rest of my fucking life. Ill never go faster than 14.4. Ill be a 35 year old waste of life living with my dad driving a v6 automatic mustang talking about all the pussy i "used" to get and all the races i have "won" but we all know that i never win races......whew the 1st step is admitting you have a problem.... |
