no... I'm pretty sure stock plugs are Motorcraft, especially since Ford owns that company, and I don't think they are platinums

best ones for n/a 6ers is autolite coppers

+1 it's cheap and gives you a reason to work on the car when you're bored

According to autolite's website the double platinum plug has a copper core with platinum (plating) on both electrodes. It is supposed to be original equipment or equivalent. I've been using them in my engine with good results.

Ok... so to end this thread, Get your wires from Ford dealership, and autolite copper spark plugs from autozone. Correct, or can you get the stock wires from a different place?
-- Because as it is common sense to everyone, the dealerships overcharge.

I think you can run aftermarket wires with no problem. Mine came from carquest, and I don't know what brand that is, but they are fine.

The plugs can be copper or copper core with platinum. The difference is the platinum coated plugs should last longer.

I don't see the Motorcraft Wires on Autozones website...

Exclamation

AGSF 42FM Platinum

When I bought my little yellow 03 V6 coupe, little did I know I was almost resurrecting a dead horse. My poor Pony had 95 thousand miles with Zero maintenance. It was first owned by a teen age American Indian woman who had just about ridden it into the ground.
Anyway, it still had the original everything from soup to nuts: water, antifreeze, oil, lube, grease, dirt, and sparkplugs.
FYI: Motorcraft Platinum AGSF 42FM

ur in there, might as well change them all. It only takes 15 minutes. I twist my boots a bit and then just yank. Sometimes youll get a bastard that doesnt wanna come off.

wires should pop off with just pulling them with ur hand. actual plugs u need a socket...more specifically a spark plug socket works good to get em out.

its easy to change with the right tools, a flexing ratched is great to have, an extension and 5/8 socket,
original plugs that came on 99-04 was the finewire platinum plugs, yes i said platinum, the difference between the OE equiped and other plugs is our oe ones tips are very fine at the end, but autolite will work probably just as good, i have seen the finewires perform better in a couple of mustangs though.
