16.1-16.5, you may break 15s if you can hook and know how to shit with your foot

what do you mean by "shift with your foot" because i have an auto.. I can hook and what not this isn't the first time I raced, its just the first time to be on a track.

well racing on a track is much different than the road youll have a hard time hooking on street tires. and you can run a 15.5 its possible in your car, but your an auto and its your first time dont expect much faster plus its cold so youll have even worse traction problems.
as for shifting with your foot it a technique with stock autos to shift a bit quicker you have to know your car pretty well but when it is about to shit take your foot of the gas and then put it back to the floor really quick this will shift a bit sooner and you dont loose as much ground

oh I see. so the track is pretty slick? Just out of curiosity how much faster would I be with a LSD and 4.10 gears? I ask because I might be getting that this winter and if it is a great gain on the track I might buy it right now then... Track closes 11/30 and I just found out about it.

youd bump .5 off your et so a good bit.
and the track is a different compound than the street so streeet tires dont grab as well to it, that why drag racers use slicks they are stickyer

I'm just doing this because spring time I'm going to dump about 1.5k under the hood in nitrous and a SCT tuner and full exhaust. This winter I'm getting LSD and 4.10 gears. SO I want to compare the runs near stock vs high level moddedjust so I don't completely blow my first run about how hard should I launch? Also when I get moving will my car grip the track better I'm a little nervous now that I can lose control |

Your going to want to load the torque converter, and do that by putting your foot on the brake, and your other foot on the gas and bring your rpms up. Play with it a little to find the best spot. Don't let your tires spin at the line, but find where you get the best launches, keep traction, and your engine doesn't bog down. |

are you driving an auto or a manual? I never thought you could "break torque" a manual without stalling or breaking the tires loose
